CareerSource Capital Region Welcomes Keantha Belton Moore
as its New Chief Executive Officer
TALLHASSEE, Fla. – The CareerSource Capital Region Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Keantha Belton Moore, MPA, PMP®, as the organization's new Chief Executive Officer, following a nationwide search. A seasoned workforce development leader with over 17 years of experience, Moore brings a wealth of expertise spanning local service delivery, state program administration, and national consulting.
Moore’s career reflects a deep commitment to building stronger talent pipelines, improving access to meaningful employment, and fostering collaboration across the workforce ecosystem. Her leadership journey began at CareerSource Capital Region, where she rose from Career Specialist to Director of Operational Excellence. She later served in key leadership roles at the Florida Department of Commerce’s Bureau of One-Stop and Program Support, including Administrator, Deputy Chief, and Chief, overseeing statewide workforce operations across 24 local workforce development boards.
Most recently, Moore served as a Manager in Deloitte Consulting’s Government & Public Services practice. There, she advised federal agencies, state workforce departments, and local workforce development boards nationwide on service delivery modernization, strategic planning, and ecosystem optimization.
Moore holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Flagler College and a Master of Public Administration from Walden University. She is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®).

Under Moore’s leadership, CareerSource Capital Region will continue to provide a comprehensive suite of services to both job seekers and employers across Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, and Wakulla counties. These services include one-on-one career advising, resume and interview preparation, job placement assistance, skills training programs, and customized talent solutions for businesses. All services are provided at no cost, facilitating access to employment and economic opportunity for all Floridians.
Jim McShane, CareerSource Capital Region’s CEO for the past 12 years, will officially retire in late December 2025. The current period, during which both McShane and Moore are employed, serves as a transition phase to ensure a smooth leadership handover. Moore will officially assume full leadership responsibilities as Chief Executive Officer on January 1, 2026.
