CareerSource Capital Region Publishes 2023-2024 Annual Report

Positively Impacting Businesses and Individuals in the Capital Area

 

Tallahassee, Fla. – The CareerSource Capital Region Annual Report for the July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024, fiscal year has been published and is available on the company website, www.careersourcecapitalregion.com. 

“We're proud to highlight the critical role our workforce board plays in strengthening the local economy by providing essential job preparation solutions to career seekers and strategic talent recruitment services to employers,” said CareerSource Capital Region’s CEO, Jim McShane. “Our board and staff are dedicated to empowering individuals to succeed in their careers while ensuring businesses have access to the skilled workforce they need to thrive.”

 

Last fiscal year, CareerSource Capital Region assisted 5,761 career seekers with paid internships, training scholarships, career counseling, and job search assistance, and 1,489 employers with job postings, recruitment events, and professional development in Gadsden, Leon, and Wakulla counties. 

 

Highlights of the year included a partnership with Gadsden and Leon County’s summer youth program; the Talent Innovation Summit (a signature business conference); 5 Hiring Fairs including Paychecks for Patriots; 7 Recruitment Events; LEAD (Leaders Evolve and Develop) leadership development training; 22 Professional Development Workshops for employers; and 2 Prep for Vets Lunch & Learn events.

 

CareerSource Capital Region assists individuals with barriers to employment including those in the most vulnerable populations such as individuals who are long-term unemployed or underemployed, low-income, disabled, ex-offenders, homeless, dislocated workers, high school dropouts, basic skills deficient, in or out-of-school youth/young adults and veterans as well as businesses throughout the capital area with recruitment, training and retention solutions.
